LaTasha T. Hendricks

Founder & CEO

Compassionate, Ambitious, and Courageous are a few words that describe Chief Empowerment Officer of beYOUtiful Inc., Mrs. LaTasha T. Hendricks.  She lives and teaches by the motto of Mahatma Gandhi, “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”

Mrs. LaTasha Hendricks is also the founder and visionary of beYOU Girl Mentoring Program, an organization designed to create a safe place for young girls and women to become better versions of themselves.  The Ahoskie, North Carolina native found her calling in helping set the authentic standard for young females.  Her pivotal life lessons are continuing to help her on her own journey to self-actualization and are a standpoint in the structure of beYOU Girl Mentoring.

LaTasha’s own life lessons started as a girl, growing up with the influence of her now-late grandmother. Having struggled in her youth with bullying, low self-esteem, and a poor understanding of her unique value to the world, she intimately understands the needs of young women. It was also during that time that she learned what it was to be unapologetic about who you are; remembering to keep in prayer and developing a zero-tolerance for things and people that do not serve you.

LaTasha is a woman who lives a life of passion and purpose. Through many trials and adversity, she managed to gracefully put her hair in a ponytail and try again. LaTasha graduated from Saint Augustine’s University with a degree in Business and is currently pursuing her Master's Degree in Human and Social Services.  She currently resides in Knightdale, NC. When asked what her greatest accomplishment was she smiles and says, “Being a loving and supportive wife, and mother to her two children Aa’Kiyah and Ishawn ranks number one!!!

Aa'Kiyah Shoulars

Mentor Coordinator

Having been part of the beYOUtiful Inc. family since the beginning has been so rewarding. I started out as a proud member of the beYOU Girl Mentoring Program when it first began in 2018 and I must say it changed my life. I learned so much about myself, leadership, and giving. My favorite part of the program is the etiquette class. I didn't know I was not properly eating all this time until then. I have to say I am so proud of my mom for giving back to her community and for instilling the same values to these young ladies that she instilled in me and my brother. When I am not mentoring young ladies like myself, I attend WSSU currently completing my sophomore year. I also enjoy fashion, shopping, and attending concerts.

Ishawn Shoulars II

Volunteer Coordinator

Hey beYOUtiful,

I know I am a guy but I was so inspired by mom's

mission I had to join the cause. I have been volunteering since 2018 and it has been a extreme pleasure. I have learned so much about giving, leadership, and just being able to help others has meant the world to me.

When I am not working or volunteering in my community, I am enjoying my last year of high school and looking forward to college in the fall. In my spare time I enjoy playing Football, Fishing, and Hunting.
